It’s a well known fact that Year 12 is a very stressful year for many students. This is not only because of the workload & study commitments that it brings with it, but the eminent new chapter of one’s life, hanging over one’s head.
Thought patterns are very familiar throughout the students I have spoken with (including my own child):
What if I don’t score well on this SAC?
If I don’t it will affect my overall ATAR!
That means I won’t get the ATAR I need to get into the course I want!
That means I won’t get the job I want!!
I don’t know what else to do with my life!!
am not ready to be an adult!
Add other external stresses, such as social, family etc and you can feel that your child is almost ready to explode!! If not, then their health, physical, emotional and spiritual can suffer immensely.
This one is a letter of recommendation from just one of my year 12 student parents:
Trudi Hemetsberger has been an absolute game-changer in helping Amber through these moments and stressful situations. Carefully coaching, explaining in a very logical and easy to understand way what is happening with her body and thought patterns. Throughout our sessions this year, I have seen Amber grow from a nervous, doubtful and anxious person to one who has become level headed and able to manage her emotional health.
Whilst Amber is not 100% in control all of the time (let’s face it, we’re all human), we can revisit the tools and strategies that Trudi taught her which guide her back on track. In any event, a “tune-up” is only a phone call away and Trudi will pick up where she left off.
I highly recommend Trudi for any student of any level, or person who has been dealing with emotional trauma and stress. When we leave stresses and unresolved emotions to manifest in our bodies we usually end up with disease. Don’t leave it until you and your body feels like it can’t cope!
